(KNOX) – Minnesota Republican gubernatorial candidate Kendall Qualls is challenging one of his opponents, House Speaker Lisa Demuth, for a series of debates before the August 11th primary.
Qualls says he has accepted the first invitation from the Republican Party of Olmsted County for a live televised debate on July 21 in Rochester. Qualls says that “Minnesota voters deserve to hear directly from the candidates on the issues that are most important to them.” Demuth’s campaign hasn’t responded yet.
Qualls is facing Demuth, and My Pillow CEO Mike Lindell in the Republican Party’s Gubernatorial Primary. Early voting starts today.
