(KNOX) – The Devils Lake Hospital celebrated its transition to Altru Health System last Friday, June 12. Devils Lake Mayor Jim Moe, as well as community members and Altru leaders hosted a ribbon-cutting ceremony and commended the community for making the transition possible.
Altru announced in June 2024 they would acquire the hospital, but they had to wait for approval from the Vatican. The Devils Lake Hospital was owned by CommonSpirit Health, and it was on the Catholic registry. The Vatican approved Altru’s acquisition last December.
