GFPS Fills Administrative Positions

(KNOX) – The Grand Forks School Board filled a couple of open administrative positions last night.

The board voted in favor of a plan that elevates Ryan Gatzke to Interim Business Manager. Gatzke has served as the district’s Accounting Supervisor for the past four years. He will take over the duties of Brandon Baumbach who is leaving the post at the end of June.

Gatzke will receive a prorated contract based on a $135,000 dollars a year salary. He will have the option of returning to his original duties if he finds the position not in his best interest.

The board also named Dr. Darin Walters as the new Principal of Red River High School. A total of eight people applied for the position including five internal candidates. Walters is the current Associate Principal at Red River.
