(KNOX) – Burn bans are beginning to pop up in various North Dakota counties.
Barnes County in southeast North Dakota issued a burn ban Monday. It was rescinded Tuesday.
The Cass County Commission has declared a fire emergency and put burn restrictions in place because of dry land conditions and hot and windy weather conditions.
Nelson County, to the west of Grand Forks, has a burn ban in place as do several counties in North Central North dakota. Conditions are expected to be ripe for fire weather, with temperatures in the 80s expected Wednesday and high winds.
