(KNOX) – Grand Forks Red River is ranked third in the preseason Eastern Dakota Conference (EDC) baseball poll.
The Roughriders are picked behind Fargo South and top pick West Fargo Horace. West Fargo Sheyenne is fourth and Fargo Davies is ranked fifth.
Red River starts the season with Sheyenne at Kraft Field Tuesday, a game that will be broadcast on KNOX Live Sports, weather permitting.
Red River will return a strong pitching staff, with Alex Seaver, Matt Dosch, Griffen Haagenson, and Rilan Korynta all returning with strong high school and legion experience.
Central was picked 11th in the league. Nolan Marto, Mason Griffin, and Keegan Hensrud will be strong contributors for the Knights.
