(KNOX) – Grand Forks has been ranked the number one community in the nation for project development per capita in 2025 by Site Selection Magazine for tier 3 metro areas. The ranking is based on job creation, square footage developed and total investment.
“The rest of the country is finding out what we already know, Grand Forks is ‘the’ place to start, expand, or grow your business.” Mayor Brandon Bochenski said. “This recognition is a validation of our relentless work and collaboration with the EDC, UND, GFAFB, State of ND, and the private sector. We are in constant competition with communities nationwide. Our growing workforce, along with investments in housing and quality of life will position us well for continued success long into the future.”
Grand Forks City Administrator Todd Feland believes the City’s focus on infrastructure ready commercial and industrial site development has met the wants of site developers and has set the community ahead. “Grand Forks leadership has understood the importance of proactively partnering with development teams in supporting infrastructure investment in site development.” Feland said. “Grand Forks understands the foundational benefit to development in investing in robust City infrastructure from water related to transportation that serves both current and future growth and both community and economic development.”
