Grand Forks Schools Hears From The Public on Budget

(KNOX) – The Grand Forks School Board heard from the public on budget cuts. It is part of the district’s larger budget procedures.  The comments from the public were on the administration’s budget recommendations.

Grand Forks Public Schools are facing an over $4 million dollar deficit in this year’s budget.

The district has met several times over the past few months to come up with ways to address the short fall. The public addressed concerns. Grand Forks School District  have put forth 52 ideas that have been decided on among K-12 principals, directors and district leaders as ways for the district to decrease its budget deficit.

The models were organized under 12 groups. The 52 concepts that were presented by the Grand Forks School District were arranged under three groups, financial, operational or student.
