(KNOX) – Sacred Heart used a 48-point second half to run past Roseau at Ralph Engelstad Arena in Thief River Falls Saturday afternoon.
The matchup was 40-36 Eagles at the break, but Sacred Heart outscored the Rams 48-37 win sprint to a win.
Nathan Kaiser led the Eagles with 30 points. Caleb Ihry added 23, Gabe Letexier tossed in 14, and Jacob Ortiz chipped in 12.
Eagles head coach Destry Sterkel described a game where his team did not shine, but earned a win.
“Nathan Kaiser and Caleb Ihry had great games tonight and helped propel our team to a win. We didn’t do anything great, and our defensive effort was not at a high enough level and we let that dictate our offense for a long stretch of the game,” said Sterkel.
The Eagles are now 3-1. They play at Badger-Greenbush-Middle River in Badger Thursday.
