(KNOX) – Wednesday afternoon the Grand Forks the Fire Department was dispatched to Tri-State Paving at North 69th Street for a report of a fire in an asphalt processing plant.
When crews arrived on scene to find that there was fire in the plant itself and the flames were impeding on a semitrailer fuel source.
Fire was controlled quickly and there was never a threat to the public due to the incident’s location.
Two employees were evaluated on scene by Altru for smoke inhalation. Both denied further medical treatment at Altru Hospital.
Reporting agencies included the Grand Forks Fire Department, Grand Forks Police Department, Altru Ambulance, Nodak Electrical, and Environmental Emergency.
