(KNOX) – The City of East Grand Forks will look into an ordinance that limits the use of engine braking by large trucks.
Truck drivers use engine braking to save on the wheel brakes.
The city has contacted other nearby cities in Minnesota to see what they have. Only Detroit Lakes prohibits engine brakes completely.
One main concern in East Grand Forks is how enforcement would done if an ordinance is passed.
