(KNOX) – Walsh County is moving forward with plans to build a new jail.
Three architecture finalists for the job have been selected and will be interviewed soon. The firms include two from Minnesota and one from Indiana.
The Walsh County Commission will get a recommendation at a meeting on Tuesday, September 30th.
Walsh County would like to build a 46-bed jail at a cost of approximately $25 million.
Work on the new Walsh County jail is slated to start next year.
