(KNOX) – A Devils Lake police officer has been charged with terrorizing following an incident.
Rey Hennen, 37, has been fired from the police department. He is accused of threatening to shoot himself while in the presence of his children and neighbors had to evacuate or shelter in place.
A criminal document says that Hennen threatened to shoot himself while engaging with law enforcement at his house.
The Devils Lake Police Department and the Ramsey County Sheriff’s Office were trying serve him a warrant when he shot himself. Hennen was arrested and taken to the hospital with non-life threatening injuries.
