(KNOX) – The North Dakota Department of Emergency Services has renamed two of its divisions.
As a result of state House Bill 1079, which was introduced by the department and signed into law, the Homeland Security division will now be called the Division of Homeland Security and Emergency Management.
State Radio will be called the State Emergency Communications Center, according to the department.
Changing the State Radio name to Emergency Communications Center reflects the technology that the division has gained.
