(KNOX) – Keeping downtown Grand Forks and the city safe is the goal of the city’s police department.
Calls to the Grand Forks Police Department have increased over the years.
“Our Priority One Calls for service in 2025 are at 14. That is the highest we have seen, although not substantially higher than say in 2022,” said Grand Forks Police Chief Jason Freedman.
Freedman said that in 2022 the department had 11 Priority One Calls.
Freedman said that Priority One Calls are more significant calls. They are robberies, weapon offensives and assaults.
