(KNOX) – The old Altru hospital in Grand Forks has officially ended operation.
The original Altru Hospital opened 1976.
A ceremony was held to reflect the on the service that the old building brought to the community.
The building next to the new hospital will be torn down to make way for parking for the new building.
Altru opened its new hospital in Grand Forks earlier this year.
