(KNOX) – According to court documents a Grand Forks teenager accused of raping a 12-year-old girl remains out of jail.
Charges were filed against Jayden Perales. He was 17-years-old when the alleged sexual assault happened, he is 18 now and is being charged as an adult.
He was given an unsecured appearance bond, he only pays if he fails to appear in court.
Investigators said that the charges of are from an incident in June of last year when it’s alleged that Perales and a 12-year-old girl were at a party.
Court documents indicate that he forcibly raped her after she said no multiple times.
