(KNOX) – Uncertainty surrounds if any money would be saved by merging the Grand Forks County Sheriff’s Office and the Grand Forks County Correctional Center under the sheriff.
Grand Forks County formed a committee to look at combining the departments as an avenue to cut costs.
That group examined transportation as a way to save money.
The committee came to the conclusion that the transportation numbers need to be looked at more closely.
