(KNOX) – East Grand Forks City Council moved to approve and submit a BUILD Grant application toward a bridge crossing into Grand Forks.
City Administrator Reed Huttenen says BUILD stands for Better Utilizing Investments to Leverage Development; in other words, funding, but a very competitive grant. Huttenen expects to hear about the application by the end of June.
The council also moved to apply for federal transportation assistance through the Federal Transit Administration.
The Council move to update Parks and Recreation bylaws changing the meetings from monthly to quarterly.
The panel awarded annual sewer cleaning to Johnson Jet-Line, and ordered preparation of plans to move a lift station that’s on residential property.
