(KNOX) –Grand Forks City Council President Dana Sande said that the city and one of its partners recently received an award.
“The governor awarded the City of Grand Forks and the Grand Forks Regional Economic Development Corporation the Main Street Excellence Award for urban cities,” Sande said.
It was one of the final awards to be handed out by Governor Doug Burgum.
“His final Main Street Conference,” said Sande.
“I know the governor really thinks we did a good job here, and we’re continuing to do a good job developing the core of our community,” Sande said.
Sande recently told city council of the award at a council meeting where he presided as acting mayor, filling in for Grand Forks Mayor Brandon Bochenski.
