(KNOX) – COVID-19 intervened with the education of the Class of 2024 at Grand Forks Red River High School.
Tuesday night’s meeting of the Grand Forks School Board heard about a successful response to intervention… the creation of Rider Time.
Rider Time has been two months of 30-minute sessions where teachers and Honor Society students have pledged a little extra time to give students the help they need with passing courses before this weekend’s graduation.
The feedback from more than 500 students polled said Rider Time had a positive impact in their studies. Red River hopes to continue Rider Time year round.
The Board passed a pair of Amendments to the Head Start Baseline Grant for 2024, one covering Professional Development Time and the other a cost of living adjustment to supplement salaries and benefit of current and future employees.
The board also unanimously moved to use the Building Fund to cover district leases.
