Scott Berry to give commencement address at Mayville State University

(KNOX) – Scott Berry… who coached Mayville State University Comets Baseball for 42 years…will deliver the Commencement address at 2 p.m. Saturday, May 11 in the Lewy Lee Fieldhouse.
The LaMoure, North Dakota native closed his coaching career with 1,196 victories and was the second-winningest active coach in the NAIA when he retired in 2023.
The Comets won 17 regular season conference championships in a row from 1986 to 2002. The Comets placed fifth in the NAIA World Series in 2002.
A member of seven halls of fame and an active participant in local, regional, and national baseball organizations, Berry kept Mayville State on the collegiate baseball map for more than four decades. In 2010, the baseball field at Mayville State University was named in his honor.
