(KNOX) – There will be a special meeting of the Grand Forks School Board Monday evening to discuss the nonrenewal of principal Joshua Mailhot’s contract.
Mailhot is in the second year of his contract…leaving him subject to a North Dakota Century Code Statute that takes away his right to a hearing.
However if the board moves for nonrenewal… Mailhot can request an executive session with the board at a later date to convey reasons for his nonrenewal.
In a letter to the board, Superintendent Terry Brenner lists a half-dozen reasons for Mailhot’s dismissal… including failing to follow directives from his supervisor… and the inability to perform in a manner that keeps the school moving forward in a positive direction.
