Alcohol is suspected in a crash that trapped a 43-year old Underwood (MN) woman inside a vehicle that hit a water filled ditch in Otter Tail County. According to the sheriff’s department the accident was reported by a passing motorist around 2:15 this morning (Wednesday). When deputies arrived on scene they found the vehicle on the passenger side door. The deputy and Underwood Rescue were able to break the sunroof glass to free the woman. The driver was transported to Lake Region Hospital with non-life threatening injuries. The S-O says potential charges are pending as the accident remains under investigation.
