Another candidate has entered the race for the Grand Forks County Commission.
Grand Forks resident Ron Barta officially tossed his hat into the ring today (Thursday). The former Army veteran says his 35 years of federal service will be key in program management…fiscal responsibility… accountability…and communication.
In a prepared statement Barta says he will “drive an agenda to decrease the tax burden on the residents and improve their quality of life.”
Manvel resident and former Grand Forks council member Terry Bjerke is also running for the board. Incumbent Commissioner David Engen has announced re-election plans. The filing deadline is April 8th.
