Authorities say a garage fire in Gentilly, Minnesota, this (Fri) afternoon was caused by a mechanical issue with a skid-steer.
Around 2:30 PM, the Polk County Sheriff’s Office responded…and found that the fire originated from a skid-steer inside the garage…which was attached to a home on the property.
The 82-year-old property owner was home at the time. He said that an unknown good Samaritan stopped — and used their pickup to pull the burning skid-steer out of the garage, preventing further damage.
That person left before first responders arrived.
Officials say the fire caused moderate damage to the garage and skid-steer.
No injuries were reported.
