Wanted: A new director of Workforce Safety & Insurance in North Dakota. Current Director Bryan Klipfel is leaving the position after 13 years. Governor Doug Burgum announced Klipfel’s retirement today – effective at the end of the year.
Prior to joining WSI Klipfel served 30 years with the North Dakota Highway Patrol. He was appointed director of WSI by former Governor John Hoeven in 2009 and reappointed in 2010 by then-Gov. Jack Dalrymple and in 2016 by Burgum. He also served as interim executive director of Job Service North Dakota from 2019 until Jan. 1 of this year.
The director’s position will be posted immediately.
