A federal judge has handed down a ten year sentence to a Fargo man charged in connection with the shooting a six year old boy in the head.
U.S. District Judge Peter Welte sentenced C-K Jesse Carruthers under the Hobbs Act. Carruthers was accused of trying to rob an alleged drug dealer in West Fargo when he fired a gun striking the robbery victim’s vehicle. The victim returned fire and one of the bullets traveled through the wall of an adjacent house hitting the young child who was in bed. The boy survived.
A co-defendant in the case….18-year old Germond Johnson of Fargo…is scheduled for sentencing in July.
