Mayville man injured in collision with snowplow

By Pat Sweeney Feb 21, 2022 | 5:19 PM

Authorities say a Mayville man sustained minor injuries when his vehicle rear-ended a North Dakota DOT snowplow on I-29.

The North Dakota Highway Patrol says it happened around 3:25 PM, four miles south of Buxton.

Twenty-five-year-old Lance Johnson was northbound in a passenger car that drove into the back of the plow, which was traveling at reduced speed because of blowing snow and poor visibility. Some drifting was occurring on the road.

The plow driver was not injured.

The Highway Patrol says charges are pending against Johnson.
