Cavalier Air Force station to join US Space Force

By Pat Sweeney Jul 23, 2021 | 11:00 AM

The Cavalier (ND) Air Force Station officially becomes part of the U.S. Space Force on July 30.

The site will be re-designated as the “Cavalier Space Force Station.”

Its current mission — the 10th Space Warning Squadron — tracks ballistic missiles, satellites and other man-made objects above the earth.

Officials say that mission will continue.

The announcement was made by North Dakota U-S Senators John Hoeven and Kevin Cramer.
