(KNOX) – A Thief River Falls woman is accused of stealing nearly $300-thousand dollars from an elderly man that she has power of attorney over.
Hollie Baker-Walseth is charged with felony theft.
The Marshall County Sheriff’s Office was tipped off by the man’s family in January.
An investigation found Baker-Walseth had made nearly 1,000 unauthorized transactions from the man’s accounts between 2021 and 2024, totaling over $292,000.
If convicted, she faces up to 20 years in prison.
