A vehicle fire closed the southbound lanes of I-29 near Argusville (ND) for about ten minutes on Tuesday – and restricted travel for nearly an hour.
The North Dakota Highway Patrol says 22-year old David Mugemuzi of Grand Forks was heading south to Fargo when the vehicle suffered a mechanical issue. The NDHP says Mugemuzi – and a 31-year old passenger – stopped on the shoulder of the road just before the SUV became engulfed in flames.
Both southbound lanes were temporarily closed while Harwood Fire and Rescue put out the fire. The NDHP says there were no injuries.
