Law enforcement authorities have recovered the pickup that ended up in the Red Lake River at Crookston on Friday. Crookston police responded to a report that a female with wet clothing walked into the Public Library stating she drove into the river.
Over the weekend the Polk County Sheriff’s office – with assistance from the Grand Forks County Water and rescue dive team – recovered the pickup. The Polk County S-O says the female driver was the sole occupant of the vehicle. The woman apparently suffered a medical episode while driving. She has since been released from the hospital.
