ND Voter Lawsuit

A Grand Forks woman is suing the state of North Dakota over its voter signature verification process. Maria Fallon Romo has multiple sclerosis which affects her handwriting and had her 2018 absentee ballot voided because her signature didn't correspond with the one on her ballot application. She is claiming that the verification process disenfranchises vulnerable voters. The Campaign Legal Center is heading up the lawsuit effort, which also lists Self Advocacy Solutions and the League of Women Voters of North Dakota as plaintiffs.
