(KNOX) – A Grand Forks Police Ford Explorer on routine patrol was struck Wednesday night by the driver of a Chrysler turning south from Gateway Drive onto Stanford Road.
Both vehicles sustained significant damage and were towed from the scene.
37-year-old Mark Mondor of Grand Forks was cited for failure to yield right of way. Mondor was arrested for Driving Under the Influence and Refusal to submit to a chemical test.
The police officer was evaluated by paramedics and declined medical transport.
