ND continues to vaccinate one step at a time

By Doug Barrett Feb 15, 2021 | 8:30 AM

As North Dakota health officials continue to move through the various tiers of the 1-B vaccination group for COVID-19 many people are wondering when the state will work itself into the 1-C category.  Those are essential workers and people of any age at increased risk for the coronavirus.

Immunization Program Manager Molly Howell says with so many variables it’s a really tough prediction to make.  “Not knowing quantities of vaccine moving forward and uptake.  I kind of have been saying we will be towards the end of 1-B by the end of March.”

Howell says she would also like to know being a member of the 1-C group.

At last count North Dakota has administered 162,038 doses of vaccine.  That’s a one dose coverage rate of 13.7%.
