(KNOX) – Public affairs says Grand Forks Air Force Base is still investigating Wednesday’s lockdown…but there’s no new information to release.
Just after 1 p.m., security forces received a report of what sounded like single gunshot near the medical clinic and base exchange.
Out of an abundance of caution, they issued lockdown procedures to respond to the scene.
No injuries were reported, and no source of the sound was located during a door-to-door sweep… which concluded late Wednesday afternoon, providing ‘all clear’ just before 5 p.m.
The Base Facebook Page says to please keep 9-1-1 clear for true emergencies.
