Minnesota’s graduation rate dipped slightly in 2023 to just over 83%.
According to numbers from the Minnesota Department of Education a total of 53,293 students picked up diplomas last year. The department says the small decrease in the total graduation rate may be due to mistakes made in tracking every student during their high school career.
The data also shows decreases in graduation rates for Black, Asian, Latino and English learner student groups.
The graduation rate in East Grand Forks in 2023 was 89.1%.
