North Dakota hunters harvested 25,146 deer during the 2023 hunting season.
The North Dakota Game and Fish Department made 53,400 deer gun licenses available last year. The overall hunter success rate was 55% with the average hunter spending 4.7 days in the field.
Muzzleloader and bowhunters reported a 32% and 29% success rate respectively.
The department is in the process of determining recommendations for licenses in 2024.
