(KNOX) – Thief River Falls Police continue to investigate a pedestrian hit by a car on February 25.
Thief River Falls Police, the Pennington County Sheriff’s Office, and Thief River Falls Ambulance responded to a report of a woman hit by a car at the intersection of Third Street and Knight Avenue in Thief River Falls.
The 51-year-old woman, identified as Sara Lafayette Valentine, was lying unconscious near the intersection.
The driver of the vehicle was identified as Scott Michael Tuura of Middle River.
Witnesses stated that Valentine was walking two dogs, crossing Knight Ave at the crosswalk when she was struck by Tuuras’s vehicle. Valentine was transported to the Sanford Medical Center by ambulance.
