The rush to get vaccinated has led to some confusion among those hoping to get a shot ASAP. Last week Grand Forks Health officials were alerted to the sharing of a website that led to some appointments for individuals who did not meet the tier criteria for eligibility. Those appointments were cancelled.
The FDA is concerned about fraudulent COVID products and signups. MN Infectious Disease Director Kris Ehresmann says the state has heard reports of COVID vaccination scams. “If they ask you for your bank account or credit card…that’s a scam. If they try to offer to sell you the vaccine…that’s a scam. If they say you can pay to get on a list to get the vaccine…that’s a scam.”
At last check Minnesota has dished out at least one vaccine dose to 554,102 people – 4,450 of those live in Polk County.
