Minnesota Senate Republicans have unveiled what they call the “Repair Minnesota” program. It targets DFL approved bills in 2023 that they claim negatively impacted state residents. Those range from SRO language to a tax bill that didn’t adjust for inflation.
Senate Minority Leader Mark Johnson of East Grand Forks says Democrats made a mess that needs to be cleaned up. “Democrats rushed through many bills last year but questions linger about the quality and potential negative impacts of these measures. We will soon have proposals for things like energy…child care…transportation and other areas.”
Johnson says out of control mandates…spending left less money in Minnesotans pockets. He says this year’s bonding bill also needs to focus on needs vs fluffy projects.
