
The candidate list for North Dakota Governor continues to grow.
Lt. Governor Tammy Miller announced this morning (Thursday) that she is running for the post.
Gov. Doug Burgum appointed Miller to take over the duties of former Lt. Governor Brent Sanford on January 3rd (2023). Burgum has said he won’t seek a third term.
As part of the campaign launch Miller pledges to build on the success of the Burgum administration and keep North Dakota’s growth and success going.
A native of Brocket (ND) Miller graduated from high school in Lakota. She earned a bachelor’s degree in accounting and a master of business administration degree from Minnesota State University Moorhead.
North Dakota’s lone congressman, Republican Rep. Kelly Armstrong, announced his gubernatorial campaign last month. Democrat Travis Hipsher is also running. Michael Coachman of Larimore has launched an independent campaign for the office.
