Olstad says his goal if elected is to continue to represent the citizens of East Grand Forks and listen to their concerns and issues.  “My goal as mayor will be to continue to represent the citizens of East Grand Forks and listen to their concerns and issues. I want to protect and enhance the quality of life we enjoy. This includes keeping our community safe with strong police and fire departments, promoting new opportunities for business, and continuing our commitment to providing recreational opportunities for those of all ages.”
Olstad has worked as an In-House Appraiser for Choice bank for 20 years.
Olstad was elected to the city council in 2012.  He and his wife Melody have 5 grown children.  Olstad also served 12 years in the Army National Guard.
