UND today (Thu) held the first of three winter commencement ceremonies.
The Professional and Graduate Degree Ceremony kicked things off with 250 graduate students eligible to cross the stage at Chester Fritz Auditorium.
The commencement speaker is 1997 UND grad Mark Pfeifle, a former White House advisor in the George W. Bush administration…and founder of “Off the Record Strategies,” a company that assists governments, corporations, universities and nonprofit groups in building long-term relationships.
Pfeifle told the graduate students: “Help each other. Remember those who gave us a hand along this journey. Say yes to new skills and never stop learning. Expose yourself to ideas you don’t necessarily agree with. Learn from the mistakes you made along the way and be ready for those moments when it all comes together.”
Pfeifle will speak again tomorrow (Fri) at the two Undergraduate Degree ceremonies at 1:00 and 4:00 PM, also at the Fritz.
Six-hundred-thirty-two undergraduates are eligible to receive diplomas.
