Republican George Santos of New York is now the sixth member of the U.S. House to be expelled by his colleagues.
Two-hundred-ninety votes were needed for expulsion. The vote in the House today (Fri) was 311-to-114.
One-hundred-five Republicans joined 206 Democrats in voting for dismissal.
North Dakota Republican Kelly Armstrong voted to oust Santos, while Minnesota Republican Seventh District Congresswoman Michelle Fischbach voted against expulsion.
According to a House Ethics Committee report, Santos broke federal law.
