The Senate confirmed General David Allvin to lead the Air Force in a 95-1 vote on Thursday.
Allvin had the support of North Dakota’s John Hoeven and Kevin Cramer.
In a prepared statement Senator Hoeven says he looks forward to working with General Allvin to ensure North Dakota’s missions receive the support and upgraded capabilities they need to keep our country safe.
Cramer added that General Allvin understands the threats facing the United States and the needs of the Air Force.
General Allvin recently attended the 17th annual UAS Summit in Grand Forks.
The Air Force has spent more than a month without a confirmed general at the helm.
