County buildings in Grand Forks will be cast in green next month.
The county commission has approved a resolution in support of the Operation Green Light for Veterans initiative. The program encourages government agencies to illuminate buildings in green to highlight the service of veterans and families.
County staff will place panels inside the globes outside the County Office Building to help cast a green glow. The group will also encourage the bridge committee to light the downtown Sorlie in green the week of November 6-12th.
Grand Forks County serves around 6,000 veterans through the Veterans Service Office and other county/state agencies.
