The North Dakota House has rejected a bill that would have allowed employees around the state to opt out of any masking requirement while on the job. House Bill 12-04 would have allowed a worker to get out of wearing a mask either for medical reasons or by signing a certificate based on religious…philosophical…or moral grounds. Representative Jeff Hoverson says claims that masks work to prevent the spread of COVID are based on false narratives. “Yes…our government including us have gone way out of control on this. Health Departments in many states have become radicalized.”
Critics say regardless of how you feel about masks the bill would not be enforceable in code and lacks clarity. The House rejected the measure 74-29.
