A natural gas line was hit during construction of a parking lot project at the Grand Forks Airport this morning (Monday). The lot is located near an existing UND building — the immediate area was evacuated as a precaution. The incident occurred shortly after 8:00 a.m. Xcel Energy crews were able to shut the line down within about 45 minutes. No flights were disrupted and there were no injuries.
