The Grand Forks council will hold its first meeting in the newly renovated chambers in city hall tonight (Monday).
Tops on the agenda is approval of a 2023 city budget. The general fund spending plan totals some $49.99 million dollars.
The council room make-over cost around $1.8 million dollars and features improved sight lines…more natural lighting…improved technology and security features…and renovated restrooms.
During the construction the council moved its meetings across the street into the HIVE building.
The chamber was last updated in 1992.
